Garden design, groundwork & green

The whole garden, from the ground up.

One team draws your garden and one team builds it — drainage, paving, lighting and planting set out in a single plan. Watch a tired back plot come up from bare soil to a terrace you'll still be sitting on after dark.

The way we work

One garden, one hand — from first line to last sweep.

No handover between a designer who draws and a contractor who guesses. We hold the whole job — so the plan on paper is the ground you stand on.

  1. 01

    Design and build, one hand

The team that draws your garden is the team that lays it. Nothing is lost in translation between a plan and a paver, and the person who promised the detail is the person on site to deliver it.

  2. 02

    One plan, every layer

Drainage, edging, lighting and planting are set out together from day one — not bolted on once the paving is already down. The layers that stay hidden are the ones that decide how long the surface lasts.

  3. 03

    One schedule, one contact

A single point of contact from first sketch to final sweep, with a sequence of works you can actually follow. You always know what happens next week, and who is doing it.

  4. 04

    Built to be left alone

We finish for the long season: bases that don't settle, joints that stay put, borders that fill in. A season of aftercare keeps the young garden on course until it can carry itself.

Field study N°04

The work beneath the terrace.

One plot, three stages, fifteen seconds. Scroll and a tired garden is cleared, levelled and paved — a single frame at a time, at the pace you set.

01

Clearing

Overgrowth, roots and turf carted off — down to honest ground.

02

Groundwork

The sand bed struck level and true — the base it all rests on.

03

Paving

Porcelain set course by course, then jointed and washed.

From overgrown ground to a finished terrace — cleared, levelled, then paved.

Field study N°05

And the ground beneath the lawn.

A second plot, seven stages, a full season. Drainage, base and edging go in true, then turf, gravel and planting — the hidden craft that makes a lawn last.

02

Utilities

Trenches cut to fall; land drainage and a power conduit laid in.

03

Path bed

Geotextile down, edge restraints set, sprinkler heads roughed in.

04

Foundation

Crushed-stone base struck true; borders dug and lights wired in.

05

Turf & gravel

Turf unrolled seam by seam; the path filled and raked with gravel.

06

Planting

Borders planted in drifts; the lawn knits over every seam.

07

Grown in

One season on — seams gone, borders lush, first cut in stripes.

From wild ground to a lawn that lasts — drained, based and edged, then turfed, planted and grown in.
